The US-Ireland Research and Development Partnership is scheme involving Ireland, Northern Ireland and the United States which funds collaborative research projects.
Under the US-Ireland Research and Development (R&D) Partnership Calls research is currently focused on three selected programme areas:
Specific topics open to applicants are set out in the DAFM application and guidelines below.
There is a regulatory requirement under this programme, and several others, that details of funding are published. The division has requested the inclusion of the below under “Funding.”

DownloadRepublic of Ireland and Northern Irish applicants must obtain pre-approval from Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine and DAERA respectively in advance of the formal submission of the combined application to the Agricultural and Food Research Initiative Call by the US Principle Investigator.
The submission deadline to the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine and DAERA for the application is 4 weeks in advance of the stated Agricultural and Food Research Initiative (AFRI) deadline for the respective six priority areas.
